Hi, Friend:

Tomorrow is National Science Appreciation Day!

What started as a simple idea is now a nationwide celebration recognized in cities and states all across the country.

March 26 was chosen as the date for National Science Appreciation Day to commemorate the anniversary of Dr. Jonas Salk’s 1953 announcement of successful trials for the polio vaccine, a world-changing scientific breakthrough that has saved the lives of millions worldwide.

People all over the country have shared their own #ScienceSaves stories with us:

You can find more stories like these on our social media channels:

If you recognize yourself—or someone you love—in one of these stories, please share it.

That’s how the movement to celebrate science grows: One person at a time. One story at a time.

Thank you for being a part of National Science Appreciation Day!
