ScienceSaves has a $10,000 scholarship opportunity for them

Hi, Friend:

This email isn’t necessarily for you—but it might be very important for someone you know. A grandchild. A student. A sibling. A neighbor. Someone in your community. All that matters is they’re a high school senior.

If that sounds like someone you know, make sure to tell them that the 2026 ScienceSaves Video Scholarship Contest is open and accepting submissions. The top prize is $10,000. And all they have to do is answer one question:

How has science helped you or someone you love?

No long essays. No complicated application. Just a clear, honest story—told in 20–30 seconds.

$10,000 can make a big difference for a new college student, whether it’s helping with tuition or just giving them some breathing room as they settle in on campus.

Most students who’ve submitted entries in previous years didn’t go looking for this opportunity. Someone passed it along.

If someone you know comes to mind, let them hear about it! And let them know the deadline to enter is May 11, 2026.

This contest is sponsored by the Stiefel Freethought Foundation and the Center for Inquiry to celebrate young voices who understand the power of science and want to share it with the world.
