Job Title: SQL DBA with Cassandra

Location: Richardson, TX/ Tampa, FL/ Basking Ridge, NJ. (Hybrid)

Duration: Long Term Contract

Skills: MS SQL & Cassandra DBA

Qualifications:

• Strong ability to work in a highly sensitive and confidential environment. 

• Ability to meet deadlines and handle sensitive and pressured situations. 

• Ability to identify issues and help develop strategy and tactical plans for various department initiatives. 

• Ability to use good judgment and decision-making skills. 

• Ability to use a PC, keyboard, and other standard office equipment. 

• Overall 5-8 years of experience working with information management systems in development, maintenance, administration, database management, or related information systems skills. 

• Minimum 5 years of MS SQL database management systems in testing, implementation, maintenance, and administration in a multiple-platform environment. MS SQL certified DBA from MS SQL University. 

• Expertise in database/data design and architectural principles and methodologies. 

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English 

• Knowledge of database architecture and its implementation 

• Good knowledge of Instance, database, and query tuning to improve the performance of the database/application 

• Good understanding of Disaster Recovery (DR) methodologies 

• Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner 

• Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel 

• Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks 

• Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure 

• Ability to prioritize and organize effectively 

• Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties 

• Ability to use personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, etc.) 

• Ability to work independently 

• Ability to work with others to resolve problems, handle requests or situations 

• Ability to effectively consult with department managers and leaders
