Welcome to the group ... As the moderator and owner of this group ..
request everyone to post some info about themselves and what they work
on .

Here is mine :
Known on the internet (Forums,blogs etc ..) by the mysterious name of
Enigma , or The_Enigma ... My real name is Manuj Bahl. I am from India
and have been working on SQL Server 2000 for the past 2 1/2 years ...
have learnt a lot by participating in various communities and think
that the best way we can go forward in the world is together ...

Hi,

I am Jose Antonio from SPAIN. I have worked with SQL from 1992. I
worked in Microsoft (PSS) giving support of SQL and Microsoft
Backoffice(do you remenber),now I am working in EL PAIS (newspaper)
www.elpais.es. I am in Yukon BETA.
At the moment I am in a project of a documentary application that
works with FTS, but the version of SQL 2000 is not very good, I hope
that with Yukon it improves.

Hi all,
I'm John Kane (nickname: JT_Kane) and I worked for Microsoft for 6+
years supporting SQL Server and specialized in Full-Text Search (FTS).
I've also worked with Jose on FTS issues too... Hi Jose! For the past
1.5 years, I've been an independent consultant as well author to be on
a book about Microsoft Search technology, although this has now been
delayed due to publishers issues. More on that if people are
interested. I post most of the replies in the fulltext newsgroup.
Lately, I've gone back to working at Microsoft as a contractor. I've
also presented at last year's PASS confernce on "Text Mining and SQL
Server 2000 Analysis Service" and may be writing an article for MSDN on
this topic as Yukon Beta2 will have a Text Mining feature.

Hi All,

I am Amit Jethva. I started my career as Developer on VB/PB/ASP/APT -
SQL/Sybase/Oracle. Moved to SQL Admin first in Nov 2000 on SQL 7.0 and
later on to SQL 2000, but with more of a developer workload.

Since last 2 years or so, I have been focusing more on SQL Admin stuff.
and I have enjoyed working on SQL Server. My main areas of intrest in
SQL are SQL Database Design, Scripting, troubleshooting and Perfomance
Tuning.
