If the picture wasn't painted he wouldn't have died the way he did, but his soul would probably be more tainted as he wouldn't have a visual of his corruption

I think that Dorian would have died in a less dramatic way because his spirit contained already the worst of him. And without the painting he could not imagine the great sin that lived within him.

I think Dorian still would have remained corrupt despite his image in the portrait. However, if the image wouldn't have been painted by Brasil, Dorian and Lord Henry wouldn't have met each other, which is when the corruption evidently unravel.

I definitely agree. I think he wouldn't have endured in his suffrage and continuous sin if there wasn't a portrait of himself.

Yes, Dorian would have met a different fate. i believe that the picture acted as a catalyst to present dorian with the fate he was met with. its as if as the painted picture dictated his life once it was handed to him, there wasnt escape from it.
