45TH ANNUAL MSSA ACS REGATTA

Unfortunately, we did not get a volunteer to chair this year's event.  However, John Baker, Doug Davies, and I are putting together a race (see attached NOR and Entry Form).  Audra (MSSA secretary) will be collecting the Entry Forms, Bob (MSSA treasurer) will keep track of the checks and prepare our donation to the ACS, and John Hobbs (MSSA webmaster) will update our web-site.  This year we will not have t-shirts, raffles, or our traditional after-race party, but we hope to be handing out a few of our perpetual trophies.  We are attempting to put together an after-race 'crew-only' get together, at the PJYC, to announce the winners, and possibly offer some refreshments.

The entry fee is only $85, but additional amounts will gladly be accepted.  If you do not plan on racing your boat, you can still make a donation to our long running (45 consecutive years) tradition, by sending your check (for any amount), made out to Mount Sinai Sailing Association Foundation, Inc, and mail it to Mount Sinai Sailing Association, P.O. Box 291, Mount Sinai, NY 11766, before September 19th.  No need to fill out an entry form.

MSSA racers - This is our opportunity to win back the Mather Cup, which is awarded to the club with the best overall performance.  It is currently on display at the PJYC (last year's winner).

This is great news. Thank you for volunteering to take this on. Anyone who's been involved knows the amount of time and energy organizing something like this takes. We the bridge, the club and the ACS appreciate your efforts.
