Spring 1

[MSSA Vice Commodore]

Hello mssa members,

It’s late, I am racing in the Block Island race tomorrow, so I’ll be brief.

Spring 1 was a great success. Thank you to all racers.  It was a beautiful evening, clear skies, calm seas, great sunset.  The wind was light but not terrible. It was fine for the non spinnaker start, 6-8 kts, but dropped to 3 for the spinnaker start.  The current really hurt.  Eventually the wind came back and moved north.  All 13 boats that started the race finished.

The season is off to a nice start.
