Mt. Sinai Harbor

Hello,

I just got back from checking on the harbor. Conditions are improving but it’s still raining and the wind is still over 20. Most boats looked fine. I did see one boat with a broken forestay. The mast is still up but the forestay with headsail attached is hanging in the water. I could not see the same of the boat. It is south of Blue Angel, has a white hull with dark headsail. Looked to be around 35’

I also saw that Rode Trip seems to have an issue with the sail cover. The cover looked to be fine but I saw a line or something flapping around. Perhaps it’s an extra line to hold down the cover?

Thank you Barry for looking out. I had little extra of plastic wrap and used it to protect mainsail cover on top of regular lines. That is what is flapping in the wind. I wanted to test if that makes any difference. For those curious, plastic held up till this afternoon which is not bad considering it was quickly/ poorly installed. Nothing beats removing sails before storm but if for any reason you don’t have this option, plastic wrap correctly installed helps. Thanks again Barry.
