Address Book problem

I can't access my Address Book from Word 2000. I click on tools, then
Envelopes and Labels, just like I did with Windows 95, but now when the
Envelope function opens and I try to access Address Book I get the error
message that I can't because I'm not logged on to MS Exchange. I thought
Outlook in Windows 98 superceded that. Can anyone tell me how to fix this
problem? Also, when I do type in an address in the envelope function I do
not get the option to save it for later use. All I can do is type it up and
print the envelope. What can I do to use this function the way I could in
Windows 95.
