Hi Shirley
No it doesn't, MSN is great, I have been with it for 3 1/2 years! It is a
bargain, you got a free computer. Let us know your problems and we will fix
your set up. BTW, this is a Canadian Newsgroup, not one for those that live
in Baltimore. Let us know anyway.

The News Page can be setup the way you like it and I saw in the FAQ section
of the homepages that you can stop that Ad from popping up on your homepage?

Andrew,

Sorry I have to agree with Shirley. I just got on and an't really happy
with
the service they offered. Home page is one. See my post on
'Home page Advertise Pop-ups'. Other issues concerns the setup of news
server and mail server. But I do hope we can make improvements.

I agree with you, this whole msn deal sucks, I'm a new subscriber, due to
the bargain betty thing and I'm having a hard time understanding this
outlook express mail system and the fact that I have to reconnect everytime
I forward something.

Dear Clara

The deal may 'suck', but you did get a cheap computer. MSN certainly doesn't
'suck', it is just that you don't know how to use this new computer of
yours! Your little problem is, however very easy to fix, as you have it
configured to a task, that is not to your liking.

Open Outlook Express,
Click Tools,
Click Options
Click on the Connection tab, uncheck 'Hang up after sending and receiving'

Good heavens, I have used MSN since May of 1995, and quite frankly have not
had a problem. Well there were teething issues with the network.

As a Canadian, we sort of lost 'direct' connect with MSN, albeit, I now do
same through AttCanada. But, not only have I retained my original MSN ID, I
also have one through ATT.

Basically the MS Outlook Express program is outstanding compared to others.
With Outlook 2000, even better.

In most cases, folks simply overlook minor issues when settng the program
up. The NG moderators, in this NG are just excellent. Tell them you problem
in detail, and they will get you fixed up.

My 2 cents worth.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT SOMEONE ELSE OUT THERE FEELS THE WAY I DO. I call for
support and I'm on the phone for hours trying to resolve a problem. Never
been so frustrated in my life. If it had not been for the rebate, I would
have stayed with AOL. It was simple to us, we had multiple user names, and
the connection was much faster. There are times when I can't get a
connection, because there are only two telephone numbers to dial up. My AOL
had numerous dial up numbers so connection was inevitable.

I personally can't wait for my three year tour to end!
