In addition to what the others have suggested, in Outlook Express go to Tools, Accounts. Select your email account and click the Properties button. Go to the Connections tab. Make sure you do not have a check mark beside "Always connect to this account using".

Hi Kimberley

Please don't post in capitals, it is considered shouting and rude. It is
also harder to read.

You probably have "Hang up after sending and receiving" set in Outlook
Express. That option is under Tools, Options, Connections tab.

You may have the "Disconnect if idle..." setting enabled. There are three
places that you need to change this, while you are offline.

- Click on the Quickview (red hand) icon on your taskbar. Select MSN
Options, Connection Settings, Options. Uncheck or change the "Disconnect if
idle... " box.

- Right click on the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop and select
Properties. Click on the Connection tab and then click the Settings button.
You should see a similar check box there.

- Go to My Computer, Dial-up Networking, right click on the MSN icon and
select Properties. Click the Configure button and then the Options tab.
