You must save the html and gif in the same folder. I created a folder named signatures and keep all of my sig files there.

Hi James,

In FrontPage Express be sure to save your signature as a file, not as a web page! Here are short instructions if needed.

Adding a Signature

Condensed Instructions

First create your graphic (GIF) and save it in your new folder (For example: "Asignature")

Next open FPE (or any html editor) and insert your graphic and any text or hyperlinks you want.

Save the file as signature.html (in a folder you can remember)

Keep the graphic (GIF) in that same folder.

MOST IMPORTANT PART:

Open the signature.html file in notepad and

make sure that the <img src= line reads as follows:

<img src="file:///C:/your_folder/your_signature.gif">

(Substitute your actual folder and GIF name and the -- file:///c:/ --

must be exact)

Now open Outlook Express and click on tools, stationery, signature button.

Check the -- add this signature to all outgoing messages -- box.

Check the file box and browse to your signature.html

Click OK. (you must do this separately for news tab and mail tab)

Click apply, ok.

Now go to tools, options, send tab, check html for mail and news sending format.

Click ok.

That's it.

With thanks to Phil, AKA Purple Haze.
