Hi All,

Sorry I neglected to send something out sooner (it's been quite a month) but I just wanted to send a reminder that the LOFT is reserved for our next meetup on Tuesday the 26th at 6:30PM.

What does everyone want to do at the meetup?

Thanks Michelle.

That sounds like a great topic, and is something I'm definitely interested in as well.   Is there anyone on the list who has experience with xbmc?

The only experience I have with XBMC is from using it on the original XBox.

There are linux guys in Bozeman running it on the Raspberry Pi units and they've reported great success with them.

Sounds interesting. I know several of our people have previously expressed interest in xbmc. I'd be interested to see more of that. Does anyone care to offer to present on this, or should we shoot for next meeting for presentation/project?

I was wondering if we could get a broad survey of member interests during the next meeting. Maybe if each member could bring 1-3 topics they may be interested in. Also, if you have something you could offer to the group, something you know about that is related, even tangentially, to linux, it would be interesting to the group to know and possibly get a presentation about in future meetings.

Looks like XBMC is in portage.  I'll try to do an install over the weekend on the laptop for the heck of it.

I've used XBMC on linux a few years ago.  I can demo it on my laptop, what movie do we want to watch? :-)

Heather,

I'll be opening up the loft for you tonight.  I'll get there around 6:00.  I'll bring my PI with raspbmc installed and configured with a library of 1,000+ movies and TV shows.

It looks like Ethan is going to be there a bit early at 6pm, but I think we're still meeting 6:30 - 7:30.

Also, Darrick was going to do a little demo as well, so it'll be good to see both!

Where is the loft? I don't believe I have ever been there.

If you know the public parking garage on main street, it's across the street from that. There's a door with some stairs (going up:). The address is 119 West Main.
