FYI:
You need register for convocation, there will be rehearsal. Those who do not
register/attend rehearsal will not get certificate on stage (convocation
day). These certificates will be sent to MSIT Division in 1-2 working days.

Dear Graduating Students (UG-2k11, PG-2k13 and MSIT):
The 14th convocation of the Institute will be held on Saturday, 22th August,
2015 at Global Peace Auditorium, Brahmakumaris Shanti Sarovar, Gachibowli,
Hyderabad. Shri V.K.Saraswat (Member, NITI Aayog) will give the convocation
address. Attached is the e-copy of Invitation Card for the same.
As per the notice sent to you earlier and info at
http://www.iiit.ac.in/news/notice/convocation2015 , please do register
before noon on Friday 21st, August 2015. Additionally, adherence to the
dress code is a must for all graduating students.
Hostels have too few vacant beds available to house ~400 graduating
students; due to which Hostel Administration is unable to promise
accommodation to all attendee's. Please note that we have only 150 vacant
available beds (120 male and 30 female).
1) Some of you have filled the Google Form requesting accommodation (approx.
60 male and 25 female students). These students should reconfirm their
request during the Convocation Registration (before 2pm on 21st Aug) at the
Convocation Help Desk (near Main Building Security), otherwise their request
is automatically canceled at 2pm on 21st.
2) Remaining beds will be provided on the first-come-first-serve basis at
the Accommodation Help Desk (near Main Building Security) on 21st-Aug.
3) Given the paucity of the vacant rooms in campus, you are advised to make
alternate arrangements for accommodation. For exmaple, in previous years,
even when vacancies were available, graduating students preferred staying in
rooms of their juniors in the hostels; please let Hostel Caretaker's office
in the loop (or hostel security) by entering in the Guest Register at the
Hostel Security desks.
On the 22th-August, we will have transportation (to and fro, starting from
Guest House) to the convocation venue starting from 8:30am till the end of
the function.
Following is the programme schedule on 22nd August.
8:00 AM Breakfast at Guest House Lawn
by 9:30 Transport to Brahmakumari's Shanti Sarovar
9.30 AM Start of the function, seating
10.15 AM Distribution of certificates
11.30 AM Convocation Ceremony
12:50 PM End of the Convocation Ceremony
Lunch is NOT being arranged for the graduating students and their families,
going by previous years feedback.
