Hi,

I noticed these wonderful extension I can use to upgrade my company software installer.

I've download the latest 1.5 version and tried to add the WixCommonUiExtension.dll as a reference but that didnt go well.
I got an error states that this files could not be add to the project as it's not supported.
I also tried to manually edit the project and add the reference tag but that didn't helped also.

I will be happy to hear how to solve this issue as I really want to use these extensions.

Thanks a lot.

Chen Azran.

The latest is compatible with wix 3.7 and I don't think anyone has been working on upgrading this to a newer wix version, see https://github.com/dblock/msiext/issues/20. Maybe you want to help? See https://github.com/dblock/msiext/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md.

I'd be happy to compile the project against Wix 3.10.  However, in my attempt to do so; I have encountered multiple build errors.

As I am unfamiliar with this project, can you point me in the correct direction?

Looks like there're quire a few changes needed here, the SDK you have is newer and such. Unfortunately I don't have time to work on this, but here's what I see in a 2 minute observation of these screenshots:

the missing operator needs to be debugged, it used to be available obviously in an older SDK, and now it's not

I bet there will be more problems after this, it's not going to be a trivial exercise.
