bus trip to Manistique tomorrow

Howdy everyone,

Great playing and lots of fun this weekend.  Thanks to everyone who helped make lunch a yummy fun time!

Tomorrow is the bus trip to Manistique.  It boards right after school at 2:45 so don't forget to have the boys bring uniforms (bring both colors and don't forget the socks), cleats, shin guards, water bottle, and maybe a snack for after school.  Also don't forget to send some money for dinner on the way home.  I've asked Amy about cost of the bus trip but she needs to find out from Alex, the athletic director, and will get back to us.  In the past the bus has always picked up near the canopy entrance, but last time it was in the back of the school near the pod.  I haven't heard either way, but I can check tomorrow with Alex and get a message out if any parents were planning to drop stuff off for the boys as they board the bus.  For any parents wanting to travel that way to cheer the team on the address is:

We haven't gotten details about what is happening with the Big Rapids tournament on the weekend of the 30th yet, but when we do we'll pass it along.

Thank you. I mentioned a remedy for taking the smell out of stinky soccer shoes. Here it is for anyone  interested. 

Crystal cat litter

Tea tree oil

Eucalyptus oil

Rosemary oil

Stirred up and put into thin cotton socks. Then you put that in the shoes after they take them off. The crystals dry them out and the oils are antifungal/bacterial/etc.

I'm going to pick up the ingredients and try it out.  We've got plenty of mismatched socks to use so maybe I'll make a bunch and fill all their shoes with one.

I just want to check, because in the past I thought with our soccer monies each team got 2 free bus trips and then we paid after that?  Just trying to recollect.  I did not send money with Willie today as it is the second bus trip and I hadn't heard.

Peyton does not have bus money either for today. When we have to pay, when is the bus money due? Can we get a total on what all of the remaining bus trips will cost and pay at one time?

I emailed Amy yesterday and she said she'd need to talk to Alex, the athletic director, to find out the total cost of the bus.  I asked at the school this morning so I could find out where at the school the bus will be picking up the team and Alex isn't in until 9 this AM.  I'll get info out once I know where the bus will be.  I think the cost of the bus trips will have to wait until we see how much it is and how many riders it is divided between.  So don't worry if you didn't send money, we'll still let your player ride to the game. 😀

As always the CFHSS does pay for the first bus trip for each team, & any remaining trips are divided equally among all players on the team. Alex Tiseo, our new A D, is booking the bus trips for us this year. Once he has a total, I will share that information.

Yes Carson texted me a little while ago and said they had to go back towards manistique  and come back a different way due to an accident so will be home a little later.
