Hi all, 

   Today we had a meeting with Register manipal university in Bangalore campus..

   The following things were brought up in the meeting....

1. batches from 2010-2011 were attended the meeting.

2. Batches from 2012 to current were attended the meeting.

3. ravish, Rajenderan, Aruna Devi and other higher persons from manipal attended the meeting. 

Manipal Claimed the following....

1. MS Degree given by Manipal will no longer be valid. They have got a circular from UGC in 2009 regarding the same, so they have changed the program to MSc Tech.

2.  Students argued that, this is unacceptable, as they were told that, they will be given MS degree.

3. MS degree equivalent to ME/MTech is also not valid. They are claiming that, its similar to ME/MTech but not equivalent.  

4. Manipal is saying that, MS degree will be given till 2011 Batch. (But this is unaccpetable, as the degree does not hold a value as it is not approved by UGC)

5. Manipal agreed that there is a miscommunication happend between the Corporate and students

Suggestions from the Students............to Manipal Register...

1. 2010-2011 batch students requested Manipal to give a degree, which is valid, and approved by UGC, so that they can carry forward to their academics side. 

2. 2012 Batch students, have 2 different opinions.....

Opinion 1:-

   Refunding the amount paid......

Opinion 2:-

  

   To continue the same MSc in Technology Program....

Register told that, the senate meeting is scheduled on Jan 12, and a decision will be taken on the same. 

Till than, 2012 batch students in bangalore told, they dont want the classes. They are even fine, if the semester exams are postponed. 

Rajendran will forward minutes of the meeting on thursday to all the groups, so that every one will be keep informed about the same. 

if u have any other suggstions also, its most welcome, so that we can highlight the same to the Manipal university.

Please keep forward the mail to all the branches, so that they will be keep updated.
