I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on your admission to Ross MSCM program class of 2014 and welcome you to MSCM community.

Just a quick introdution - My name is Tai Awan and I am current MSCM student and president of 2013 Student leadership team. Most of my work experience is in engineering and logistics program management at a Defense manufacturer and brief stint in defense consulting. Additionally, I served 3 years in U.S Army after high school.

I am available to answer any questions you may have about the MSCM program, Ann Arbor, Tauber program, apartment hunting, or social life in AA area. If you are international student and have specific questions about the process (I-20 etc) please let me know. I will do my best to match you with current students who went through the process last year.

My name is Jai Kumar. How are you guys? I saw the member list of this group and I see that the group has eight members ( 'members' joining Class of 2014). 

I am joining MSCM 2014 and I am very excited about it. A quick intro will help know each other; so here it is:

2. Three years of experience in Operations Management, Inventory Management, ERP. (Designation: Junior Manager) at SAIL (largest producer of steel in India).

Am Neeraj and I would be joining MSCM 2014 at Ross. Glad to know you all. As for my intro, I did my engg from NIT Surathkal, Karnataka in 2004 and have been working in Retail n CPG industry domain @ Infosys for close to 9 years now. During this period, I worked in areas like demand forecasting, inventory planning, SAP MDM Master data etc. I, also, during this period gained experience of working in diverse parts of world such as USA, Mexico, Brazil and China and interacting with employees from these countries. Am currently in Chicago for project work.

A little bit of my background; I am an Industrial Engineer from Bogota, Colombia and I have over eight years of work experience. While I was in Bogota, I worked as a Process Engineer at Vitrofarma SA, a pharmaceutical laboratory. Over the past five years, I have been working at Mediterranean Shipping Company in New York City.  Currently, I am part of the Import Traffic Transpacific department.

I’m excited to join the MSCM program in January. My name is Patrick Tobler and I am from Philadelphia, PA. I have an undergraduate degree in Business Economics from Loyola University Maryland. After completing my degree, I joined Deloitte Consulting in Washington DC, where I worked on strategy & operations projects for the US government. Last October I moved back to Philadelphia, where I am in my current role as a Business Analyst for ARAMARK, a $13 billion food service company.

I look forward to meeting you next January. I was wondering if anyone has had any luck finding housing in Ann Arbor? It’s been frustrating finding apartments with leases that start in January.

Busy preparing my enrollment documentations, I never got a chance to check out the housing in Ann Arbor. Thank Pat to bring this up, and I assume the school students center can provide us more specific information about available housing in Jan, maybe some information of students from MSCM class 2013, since they will leave campus then. Right?

I’m excited to meet each of you as we start this journey together.  My name is Ankur Agarwal and I grew up all over the place – mostly in New York but also overseas (France, India, and the Middle East).   My undergrad was in Economics and International Relations from Cornell University.  I’ve been working for over nine years in various industries.  My first role after college was as a Buyer for Toyota Motors at their North American headquarters.  For the past five years I’ve been working as a Senior Purchasing Manager at P&G.  This job has been fascinating as it has taken me all over the world, including an expat assignment in Asia (Beijing, Singapore, Kobe).    Currently, I’m based in Cincinnati (P&G’s global headquarters).

Sorry I'm so late joining the group. I am currently a student at Michigan pursuing my Masters in Industrial and Operations Engineering. I am also already part of the Tauber program. The reason I'm so late is because I am pursuing the MSCM as a dual degree so after the year of MSCM classes I'll still have an additional semester to go with the rest of my IOE requirements. I've been living in Michigan for the past 3 months and before that I am originally from California.
