3 PhD students Urgently required for Jeju National University,  South Korea  

Nanomaterials and System Laboratory group at the Jeju National University (South Korea) has open few PhD student positions. The main goal is to offer a highly stimulating research environment with excellent infrastructure and broad interdisciplinary surrounding, to a well qualified, highly motivated and dynamic graduate student who wishes to enhance his/her scientific career, as well as to obtain a doctoral degree.  Students should note that the research environment in Korea is highly competitive in nature and purely results oriented. Students with strong motivation and highly capable in managing these situations are only encouraged to apply.  

PhD Research Areas: 

·         Energy Harvesting

·         Energy Storage

·         New Materials For innovative research

·         Nano Biosensor

·         Electrochemistry

·         Electronic Communication

Monthly Stipend:  9,00,000 Won per month. The tuition fees will be waived during PhD study.

Requirements:

Ø  You must hold a Master degree (Physics/Chemistry/Materials Science/Nanoscience/Engineering) (Engineering students except Computer, Textile branches) from a recognized universities with top marks (above 80% in UG and PG (both degrees) are only encouraged to apply. If any student secured less than 80 % in UG or PG are not required to apply.

Ø  With a strong experimental research background and interest in said research areas.

Ø  Interdisciplinary mindset and high motivation.

Ø  Candidates must prove a strong attitude towards experimental and simulation studies.

Ø  Excellent communication skills and good knowledge in English (oral and written) are required.

Ø  One or Two Publications (National /International) – highly Desirable.  (Will be given preference.
