I have already receivede the letter from Mr Rau, and I agree with Fan,
that it would be good to be together in a flat due to the future
studies... :-)
I don`t know how many rooms are in a flat, and whether all of the
rooms are single. I know that we don`t know each other personally, but
it would be quite cool to share the flat, and don`t share it with real
strangers...
What do you think?
And how urgent to reply to Mr Rau by the way?
Bye,
Nora
2010/7/20 Shan <fank...@msn.com>:
I think the first step to do is that we must get confirmation from the
dorms on who will get the room....
Then we can send email to the dormitory's office if we could stay in
the same cluster / flat...?

Dear friends ,
I copy the letter of Dr. Rau below due to the convenience of Hannes Luts & Lykourgos Tsirigotis. However , I think you should personally e-mail him about this .
about the offer :
I think its a flexible offer as they will fix up all the things for us . rent is bit up of the limit I was looking , however , after considering everything I decided to take it.
Fan , Nora and Vytautas Pranckus:
Same in opinion . It will be more comfortable to share apartments with our classmates.
Emmy :
I think these dorms are also from M S N and probably first we need to sent our consent to Dr. Rau that we intend to take it .
Best regards -

Dear students of the new intake MSc. Transportation Systems,
We hope your preparations for your studies in Munich are running smoothly.
Today we contact you regarding the accommodation in Munich. The administration office of the student dormitories for Heiglhofstr. and Stiftsbogen (we have good experiences with them) informed us that they have rooms available if they are taken from 1st September onwards and that we could reserve it for our students. They have no rooms from 1st October, which means students would be placed on the waiting list.
It is very difficult to find affordable accommodation in Munich in general and especially around the beginning of the winter semester. If you accept a recommendation, we would suggest that you rent a room from the 1st Sept. onwards and agree to rent the room before your arrival. In this way you would have the accommodation solved and can start your studies smoothly.
The procedure would be as following: We will give the administration office of the dormitories your name and email and they write back to you with a reservation that you can confirm. The room will be allotted beginning of August. The amount of 1st rent and deposit (ca. 350€ - € 560) has to be transferred to them beginning of August. The rooms are single rooms in shared apartments with kitchen and bathroom. The monthly rent is about 290€ depending on the size of the rooms.
If this is an acceptable solution for you, please let us know as soon as possible. If you agree, we would ask, however, that you remain committed to taking the room. A room in the dormitories can be cancelled anytime with the legal notice of 3 months. An alternative is also to make a rent contract for one year only. We know the dorms personally because some of our students from the intake of last year live in Heiglhofstr/Stiftsbogen. Both dorms are conveniently located to underground stations and it takes ca. 30 min to reach the campus.
Please note that we do not know the exact number of available rooms yet, but it is sure that it won´t be enough for all of our students. Thus, we will follow the principle: first come, first serve!
Best regards,

that`s really cool that you agree to live togehter in flats... :-)
Soo... what is the next step? Should we just write an email to Mr Rau,
or for the Studentenwerk, or do we need to register somewhere? (Maybe
these are silly questions, and you have already known the answer... so
in this case sorry for my questions, but i don`t want to miss the
opportunity :-) )

Thanks, friend! And good night here in China, haha
As I have not get any notice from TUM that I need to transfer the money to them at this moment, I send them an email hoping to get an answer. As soon as they replied, I will tell you guys.
Besides, I suggest you to register on your https://campus.tum.de to see whether our tuition fees under the "Tuition Fee" is zero. At least mine is that so I think I would better wait till the official notice. Besides, I have succeeded transferring the security money to the Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt.
Kind regards

) Hello, Fan Kai
My status has also not changed. They require me to send the application for admission or enrolement and all require documents. I think it is the main reason why we didn't recieve the message of tuition fee.

Hello Mohsen Hassanzadeh,
I'm LI Wei. I have also received this Email and I have accepted it. I think we can find a hostal or hotel online before 1 Oct. I will arrive in Munich on 28 Sep. I think it is better to get one.

I have not got any email in connection with dormitory... So that means
I won't get it?
On my TUM account I have the 542 Euro-tuiton fee. I think I will
transfer the money tomorrow. And in fact I won't bother whether it is
Aug. 15 or Sept. 15... :-P 'Cause I have these too deadlines too...
By the way do you have any news about the flatrenting?

I have a question: does anybody know from you what is the
matriculation number? We need that for the tuiton fee transfer. The
only number I found on my TUM account was the application number. Is
it the same?
Thank you for your answer.

Hello, Nori Szabo,
My status of tumonline is same as yours. My friend said that my application has not completed. I remenber I did't click SEND Button and I asked Dr. Rau. He said he has not received any information about tuition. So I think it doesn't matter.
Sincerely
LI Wei
how are your visa preparations and accommodation search going.?..i haven't
got any reply from studentenwerk dorms till now. i think this may be due
to the fact that these dormitories reply individually to the students
applying there i.e both wei li and mohsen might have got into the same
dorm (Studentenstadt Freimann) wei li please confirm.!!..
AND NORA
as for your question, i think both of them are the same. In our TUM
online account it is mentioned in last option(purpose) of tuition fee
status. "Purpose MTK 03615426, Singh, Akshay, 10W". so this 03615426 is
my registration no. and MTK might stand for Matriculation no(german
c=k)..:)
take care
Akshay
Does anyone else still have red "Xes" as opposed to green check marks
beside some of the documents under the heading "Documents stated herein
must be included in your application." This heading is found under
"Applications" then under status and "view."
Similarily, and probably as a consequence of the above, I still have a
question mark as opposed to a green check mark under Enrolled. I still
have to pay, but I'm quite sure all those documents I mentioned above must
have a check mark as well, before Enrolled gets a green check mark. I
imagine that won't happen until getting there.
Lastly, does anyone actually know the date that we are required to be
there. I can't, for the life of me, find an actual date anywhere. I know
that the semester starts the 1st of Oct, but according to the
Zulassungsbescheid (Admission Letter) the lectures only start the 18th.
Thanks for any input!
Simon
Hello Smueller,
I have also this problem in my TUM-account. I have asked Dr. Rau, but he didn't mention how I can do later. I think we can only solve the problem after arrival.
I think it doesn't matter that we arrive in Munich after 1 Oct. A friend of mine will go there on 10th Oct. But I will go Munich on 28th Sep, for I want to visit Munich and comfirm the Visa, Insurence and Banking Account.

Hi Simon and Wei,
I also have the same problem with you. All documents have red mark and there is a question mark on the Enrollment status.
I email Dr. Rau about this and he says it is okay we will resolve this when I am in TU later. Hence, i think we don't have to worry too much about it.
They did not ask me to pay the school fee tho..
I also cannot find when is the exact date we need to arrive in Munich... I guess as long as we settle all the administrative stuffs before the lecture starts on 17th Oct, then we shud be fine :)

Hi Emmy,
Thank you for your suggestions. I send the Admission Letter to the e-mail you have mentioned. I hope they can deal with my problem soon as well.
