Hi everyone,
This is Huseyin Turhan from Istanbul, Turkey.

I strongly suggest to those who did not get any answer from dormitories or service package that you all should call "studentenwerk" directly. I also had not got any answer from anywhere and just before I have come to Germany, I made one of my German friends call the studentenwerk and ask them about the acommodation status. There was a girl named "Tanja"- who deals with these acommodation stuff, and she said ok, send me his admission letters by e-mail and I reserve the room for him. So now I have my room in Heiglhofstr as well. She reserved it in a single day only by one phone call! I have come here 3 days ago and have just now an internet connection.

Here are my contact details if I had not sent before:
htur...@hotmail.com - MSN
huseyin.turhan2 - SKYPE

good luck.

Dear Huseyin,

Nice to know that you got accommodation and its in the Heiglhofstr. I'm Bangladeshi, accommodated in the same place and coming 29 th of this month.Do you know that Tanja is dealing with only student of TS or all ? one of my friend don't get accommodation yet and hes in Computational mechanics (TUM). Its cotsly to call here to Germany and I'm not sure that I could manage her about it .  what do you say that we should e-mail her directly or you could make initial interaction via your German friend , then we will mail her ? by the way , his name is Ratan Ghosh. Hope to meet with you soon. Enjoy your days in Munchen

Dear Chaklader and Huseyin,

I just spoke with Miss Tanja Geissinger, and she said that there is no more accomodation. That is the latest news, so I `m afraid there is no need your Bangladeshi friend to call her or visit her personally. :-(
I`m sad because this was my last chance.... Soo anybody, who has a same problem (no accomodation yet?) I will come to Munich on 25th September, and than I will start to rent a flat.

Bye

Nora

The woman in matriculation office had told us this deadline is written in our TUM online account, and I said: No, it is a deadline only for tution fee. She said if you don't make your matriculation by this date, of course we dont kick you out but this date is important only for gettinf the Student ID in the right time, so we can have cheap transportation, library, blah blah...

Secondly, There is another woman now in studentenwerk. She told me Tanja G. is in her holidays.

Third, I can also suggest you to find a cheap hostel for month or sth. I stayed in a hostel called "Wombats Hostel" it costs daily 12 Euro. That was a very good hostel. Clean. but you share your room with 7 people. I think if you search, maybe you can find some hostels for 8/10 Euros per night. This can save you for the first days in Munich. If you plan to stay in a hostel in the beginning you should book it quickly, 'cause as you know, there will be an october fest soon.

see you soon.

Hey People,

For those of you who have not found a flat yet, this is a bulletin board website of TUM where people publish some announcements like work and housing in Munich, I hope this is useful for you guys.
