Greetings!
I am happy to share with you that May Issue of Harvard Business Review carried a small nugget of mine from my blog comment for a HBR article on “Manage Your Work, Manage Your Life” by Dr Boris Groysberg, Professor at Harvard Business school .
I must say this small nugget finding a place in HBR, the undisputable global leader in the domain of business journals, is a key milestone in my more-than-two-decades of moonlighting into writing (credited with more than 40 publications in Journals, magazines and newspapers), for two reasons:
1. “Work-Life Congruence” has been my core theme around which I have been weaving all my works, be it my training or my writings or even my own career where I strongly believe and advocate in pursuing the passion rather than position, and HBR’s publishing my view has, kind of, once again reinforced my conviction on Work-Life congruence.
2. This has also pepped me up to revive my work on my upcoming book, which has been on the backburner for some time, since the nugget brings out the essence my book “Career Compass” which is about setting one’s career direction based on “what one wants to be”(values, interests and strengths) rather than on “what one wants to have” i.e. peripheral factors like pay, perks and position.
You are welcome to share your thoughts and comments on this.
