Re: DBT- Bioinformatics Industrial Training Programme (BIITP) 2015-16

Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India)

 

On behalf of Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Biotech Consortium India Limited (BCIL) is coordinating the above programme under the aegis of Dr. T. Madhan Mohan, Adviser, DBT. The objective of the programme is to impart practical industrial training to B.Tech./B.E./M.Sc./M.Tech./Advanced Post Graduate Diploma (minimum     1 year) bioinformatics students in bioinformatics/ biotech companies. The duration of the training is six months, during which stipend of Rs.10,000/- per month is paid to trainees. Last year in 2014-15, 70 trainees were placed for training in 21 bioinformatics companies.

 

We would appreciate if you could inform the students of your Institute/University/ College who have completed B.Tech./B.E./M.Sc./M.Tech./Advanced Post Graduate Diploma (minimum 1 year) bioinformatics in the year 2013-14 or 2014-15 about BIITP. A copy of advertisement regarding this programme published in the newspapers: - Times of India, Hindu, Hindustan Times, Telegraph, Danik Jagran & etc. in selected editions dated 12^th April 2015 is attached. The last date for submission of online application is 19th May 2015. Kindly place a copy of advertisement on the notice board. Students may please be requested to submit their “Application Form” online by visiting: www.bcil.nic.in/biitp2015-16/index.asp. The last date for submission of documents is 22^nd May 2015.
