Hi there,

I'm just another one that tries to make msatcommander work after all machines got upgrades to Windows 7 and had to find out that msatcommander doesn't like that. So I got an old windows XP machine from our IT guys, but I can’t make it work.

I downloaded the msatcommander-0.8.2-WINXP.zip file, and tried Python versions 2.4.4, 2.7.9 and 3.4.3. What I get is this msatcommander.exe.log file:

Traceback (most recent call last):

  File "msatcommander.py", line 21, in <module>

  File "zipextimporter.pyc", line 82, in load_module

  File "wx\__init__.pyc", line 45, in <module>

  File "zipextimporter.pyc", line 82, in load_module

  File "wx\_core.pyc", line 4, in <module>

  File "zipextimporter.pyc", line 98, in load_module

ImportError: MemoryLoadLibrary failed loading wx\_core_.pyd

It doesn’t mean anything to me. Sooo, am I missing the point, another additional programme? Am I using the right versions?

Many thanks in advance...

I ran into the same exact issue and discovered that I needed a different .dll file within the msatcommander file. It normally comes with a MSVCR71.dll file but it needs the msvcp71.dll (notice the p instead of the r). You can download that specific one online and place it in your directory.  You can download it from https://www.dll-files.com/msvcp71.dll.html. (or anywhere else Google takes you)
Cheers,
Zach
