Hello new MSAP member,

We are happy that you have joined the MSAP community! Below we have some information as you get started.

MSAP initially started as an occasional "brown bag lunch" from our three original founders, John Knapp (Macalester), Sarah Stevenson (UST), and Mickey Slind (Hamline University) in the early ‘80’s. Now it includes over 200 members and meets monthly to provide a space to share experiences and create a support network within international education.

We look forward to seeing you at in-person and virtual events we hold throughout the academic year. We have a planning meeting each September, and then send out a schedule of all meetings for the rest of the year in October. You can access that schedule by looking at the google group homepage.

Before you start using the google group, we have a few expectations for standards of behavior. While discussions may be unmoderated, subscribers are expected to be responsible for self-moderation in their use of the list. We encourage mutual respect and constructive discussion. Please keep in mind that this listserv may not be used as a promotional venue for education abroad programs.

Below are some common questions that members have about being in the group:

How do I... Request to join the group and send invites to colleagues?
- You can request to join the group by going to the group homepage (if you are already a member, you will see the welcome message and posted topics).
- You can also send the homepage link: https://groups.google.com/d/forum/msapmembers to colleagues interested in joining or ask them to email msap.members@gmail.com stating their interest to join if they do not have a gmail account.
How do I....Create a post and send it to the listserv?
- You can send your post to msapmembers@googlegroups.com. You will not receive a receipt of the email, so check the homepage to see if your topic was sent successfully.
- You can go to the homepage and click New Topic. You will want to keep the Type of Post as a discussion and click "Display at the Top."
How do I...Remove, add, or update my email?
- With google groups, you are able to have more than one email listed. If you would like to make any changes to your email(s) listed in the google group, please email the listserv management team at msap.members@gmail.com.
How do I...Access meeting materials and powerpoints?
- Meeting materials can be accessed on the main MSAP google drive. Please be prudent when using and sharing this link. Anyone with the link can view the materials and we ask that the information be kept private within the group.
