Assalamu 'Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu - We hope that the remaining days of Dhul Hijjah provide you countless opportunities to earn Allah SWT's Mercy and Pleasure.

MA'RUF's Youth Center is the only Islamic Youth Center of its kind in Wisconsin. Since 2018, it has been providing numerous services to surrounding communities in one of the most disenfranchised neighborhoods in the country. By putting our Islamic faith into action, our goal has always been to soften the hearts of the people towards Islam, so that one day they may become Muslims themselves because we know Islam to be the solution to countless problems plaguing the inner city of Milwaukee and beyond.

In addition to the programs we offer, here are some recent updates since Ramadan:

1. Cafe Ma'ruf - Opening a cafe inside the building to draw more people to the center, and it is a step towards being financially semi-self-sufficient. Stay tuned for an Open House in the near future!
2. Expanded the staff to meet the needs of the center.
3. Expanded the leadership team with new members: Br. Faisal Khetani, Hassan Rahim Esq. and Dr. Aziz Rahman.
4. New Call of Duty (COD) team that oversees all MA'RUF related volunteer opportunities throughout Milwaukee - led by Br. Zain Hussain.
   

As we are in a continuous need of funds, your ongoing support is necessary to keep MA'RUF thriving. Here is a quick snapshot of our current financials.

• Monthly Expenses Breakdown: Average $13K /monthly (Roughly $160K Yearly)
• Building Operational Cost: $1800.00
• Payroll -  3 staff members and a custodian: $9500.00
• Programming Cost: $1500.00
• Expected Cost of replacing the roof: $80K.
  
• Amount donated/collected thus far: $115K
• Yearly Deficit = $125K (Including the roof cost)
  

Thanks to our donors, we have raised/collected $115K thus far, but to maintain our current operations and the urgent need to replace the roof ($80k cost estimate), we urgently need your financial assistance during these blessed days.

Ibn Abbas reported: The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, “No good deeds are better than what is done in these first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah.” Some companions of the Prophet ﷺ said, “Not even jihad in the way of Allah?” The Prophet  ﷺ said, “Not even jihad in the way of Allah, except for a man who goes out with his life and wealth at risk and he returns with nothing.”

Fardowsa Mohamed and Imani Moore and also Demarius Allen) and will be glad to see the work that goes on there on a daily basis with your financial support.
