The Muslim Students Association and Women in Islam at Baruch College cordially invites you to the event:
"Islam on Racial Segregation"
February is Black History Month and we are having this event to shed light on Islam and its role to end racial segregation, 1400 years before the American Civil Rights movement. The beautiful teachings of the Prophet (SAW) embodies justice and equality for all people despite their race, color, gender, religion, age or any other arbitrary characteristic. Elements of racial segregation or at least racist feelings are still prevalent today in our societies and Islam offers the perfect solution through the Qur'an and the Prophetic traditions. Let's learn the root causes of the disease and how to end them.
