Muslim Students Association (MSA) and Women In Islam (WII) of Baruch College cordially invites everyone to the event:
Eid Ul Adha Celebrations- The Diversity of the Muslims!
Eid-Ul-Adha (the Feast of Sacrifice or Day of Sacrifice) is observed after the Hajj — the annual pilgrimage to Makkah (Mecca) in Saudi Arabia. The first day of this celebration is held on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, which is the last month of the Muslim year. Eid-Ul-Adha is a day of remembrance, the remembrance of His grace and favors upon us.
Come join us as we celebrate the Diversity of the Muslim nations! Everyone is highly encouraged to wear their traditional Islamic clothes. The beloved of Allah, Prophet (SAW) left us with the most diverse nation so be a part of this event to celebrate our differences and celebrate our religion’s central values of sincerity, modesty and good characters!
“O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.” (Qur’an 49:13)
Baruch MSA and WII will be hosting our annual Eid dinner on Friday, November 11th, 2011. By the grace of Allah SWT, we have prepared for you a night of reflections, numerous multimedia presentations and of course food. Bring friends and family for a night filled with fun, entertainment, and joy as we celebrate the MSA’s and WII’s diversity . It is a perfect opportunity for everyone to rediscover the traditional Islamic values insha’Allah.
We pray to Allah SWT that everyone benefits from our initiative. We look forward to seeing you then !!!
