A Zaytuna College Benefit Luncheon with Zaid Shakir, Hamza Yusuf & Khalid Latif

Sunday, October 12 in Manhattan

For Western Muslims, the world has become an increasingly confusing place. Around us, we see savage atrocities -- torture, religious persecution, sectarian violence, the killing of civilians -- committed in the name of our religion or in the name of nations we claim as home. 

 

At Zaytuna College, we believe the crisis of today's time is a crisis of knowledge. This is why we are here. We want to do our part to restore the centrality of knowledge to our religion. 

 

Join us for a special afternoon in Manhattan -- your window into Zaytuna's ambitious liberal arts vision. 

 

You'll hear from our faculty, students, and leadership about how an unprecedented education that aims to provide a foundation in the intellectual heritage of the Islamic and Western civilizations can begin to address today's crisis of knowledge.

Zaid Shakir is a co-founder of Zaytuna College, where he is also a member of the faculty and Board of Trustees. 

 

Hamza Yusuf is president and co-founder of Zaytuna College, and he is also a member of its faculty. 

 

Khalid Latif is executive director and chaplain for the Islamic Center at New York University.
