Muslim Students Association (MSA) of Baruch College invites everyone to the event:

The Last Event of Spring, 2011 !!!

Alhamdulilah thumma Alhamdulillah Spring 2011 was an amazing semester for everyone here at the Muslim Students Association and we pray all the events were extremely beneficial for our guests and we pray to Allah SWT that He accepts everyone's hard work and effort.

Our FINAL event is coming up this Thursday, May 12.

At the event, the following will take place:

- A small ceremony to recognize the Muslim brothers and sisters who will be graduating from Baruch College. (check below for more details)

- We will hear anecdotes from the graduates about their experiences in MSA and WII.

- The unveiling of the NEW MSA EXECUTIVE BOARD.

- The unveiling of the NEW WOMEN IN ISLAM (WII) executive board.

- ELECTIONS to be held for Assistant/Trainee positions ONLY. (Check below for more details.)

- Final words from our current serving President of the MSA & WII

- Brief introduction by the MSA's new President-elect for Fall 2011

- Shaykh Samer will give us tips to prepare for the final exams and general advices. Also, insha'Allah, expect him to give a short RAMADAAN reminder.

- Wrap UP and Lunch !

If any MSA/WII members are graduating this Summer, then please email us at msa.b...@gmail.com so that we can officially recognize you in the event. If you fail to submit your name, we won't be able to give you the official MSA/WII certificates of recognition. The DEADLINE is WEDNESDAY by 12 NOON.

B. ELECTIONS

Details of the official executive board members election will be revealed by Ahmer Imam, the President of MSA on the day of the event. It should be noted that if anyone wants to seriously get involved with the MSA, then they should apply for only the following positions:

This year, the only positions up for grabs are:

1. ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT.
2. ASSISTANT TREASURER.
3. ASSISTANT SECRETARY.

The DEADLINE TO SUBMIT your names for these positions is WEDNESDAY, 11:59 P.M.

Please read carefully. These are ALL positions for ASSISTANTS or rather TRAINEE. These positions are NOT for official MSA executive board members.

Unlike previous years, the MSA this time has taken a different route to ensure that only the most dedicated people retain leadership of this club. As a result to filter the best candidates, we have introduced the new TRAINEE positions. People who will be elected for these positions will be the next or future executive board members of the MSA. These TRAINEES will work very closely with the official executive board to gain experience and knowledge of how to run the club and thus it will qualify them to hold future MSA executive board members position and then a new generation of trainees will replace them and the cycle will continue as such. This step was deemed important by the current MSA board so that leadership falls to those are most qualified and understands the MSA culture. If the trainees takes their work seriously, they will move up to become future leaders of the MSA insha'Allah

Come to the event to clarify any doubts you might have about this new process of the MSA elections.
