then sits and remembers Allah until the sun rises, then (after a
while) prays two rak'as, he will gain a reward equal to that of making
perfect Hajj and Umrah." [He repeated the word "perfect"
thrice.]

Whether you fast or not, meet up behind Kerckhoff after maghrib at 5:10. We will go out and grab a bite to eat inshallah.

Sisters Activity
Time: 4:15-9:30 pm
Location: Westwood and the Beach
Iftar (Breaking Fast) and Reflection at the Beach!!
InshAllah if you can, try to fast this Thursday for the month of Dhul Hujjah. It has been narrated that if one fast one day during these holy days, “It expiates the sins of the previous year and that of the following year.” We will all break our fast at a restaurant in Westwood. If you have a place you want to eat, please email Mariam Hakim. After we eat we are going to head out to the beach for a mini-halaqa and reflection.
Please if you want to go to the beach, email Mariam Hakim or text/call her at 714-514-7220, in order to provided with transporation. If you can do that by this Wednesday at 10 pm that would be great!

SISTERS POOL HOURS
Time: 5-7 pm
Location: Kauffman Hall
Finally! Pool hours for women have arrived! This is a time set aside for just us women for every Sunday from 5-7pm at North Pool at Kauffman Hall! Please try to be there before 6 pm, because if there is no sister in the pool before 6 the lifeguards will close up and leave. SubhanAllah they have taken the time to find us female lifeguards and have opened up after hours just for us so please let’s take advantage of this InshAllah.

Another Proposed Fee Increase
The UC Regents have proposed to increase student fees by another 8%. In the last 5 years, student fees have increased by $4,000. We are requesting everybody sign the following petition: www.change.org/petitions/view/stop_the_8_fee_increase?te=npe and please check out the list of events to raise awareness about this issue which can be found as an attachment to this email.

COLLEGE DAY APPLICATIONS NOW AVAILABLE
College Day Applications are finally out. This is one of the biggest events MSA hosts each year. If you want to be apart of the steering committee, then please make sure to apply. This is extremely competitive. Applications are due by 5pm on Wednesday, November 24. Please download the application, complete it, and email all applications to Nader Nasr: nader...@gmail.com. The steering committee will be announced by Week 10 insha'Allah.
