Hadith of the week

“The most beloved of people according to Allah is he who brings most benefit to people, and the most beloved of deeds according to Allah the Mighty, the Magnificent, is that you bring happiness to a fellow Muslim, or relieve him of distress, or pay off his debt or stave away hunger from him. It is more beloved to me that I walk with my brother Muslim in his time of need than I stay secluded in the mosque for a month.”  (Muslim)

Ayat of the week

"In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful... O mankind! Fear your Lord. Lo! the earthquake of the Hour (of Doom) is a tremendous thing. On the day when ye behold it, every nursing mother will forget her nursling and every pregnant one will be delivered of her burden, and thou (Muhammad) wilt see mankind as drunken,Yet they will not be drunken,But the Doom of Allah will be strong (upon them)"... [Al-Hajj 22:1-3]

Hadith of the week

"One of the biggest sins of the tongue is to lie [1]. A person came to the Prophet (PBUH) and said: I do not pray, I do adultery and I do lie, which one should I abandon first? The Prophet (PBUH) replied: Lying. That person promised to the Prophet (PBUH) to abandon lying but when he left, the Satan tempted him into adultery. He suddenly thought if tomorrow the Prophet asked him about this and if he said he had not done it, then he would be lying and if he would tell the truth then he will be eligible to be punished according to Sharia Law. Therefore this way of thinking and abandoning lying is the start of leaving behind all sins [2]. " (Muslim)

Ayat of the week

"And spend in the way of Allah and do not throw [yourselves] with your [own] hands into destruction [by refraining]. And do good; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good."
(Surah Al-Baqara, 195)
