FRIDAY - April 15th. Envelopes will be place in mailboxes (on Thursday afternoon) for teachers who have homerooms. The envelope will contain enough wristbands for your class. Please collect $2.00 for each student who is not in uniform. Check off their name and place everything back in the envelope. Someone will come by during the period to collect the envelope. Teacher are asked to instruct students to keep bands visible and teachers are asked to check students as they enter your room to be sure they have a band if they are not in uniform. Any student who does not have a band and is not in uniform should be sent to my office immediately. If you have any questions, please let me know.
THIS IS NOT A DRESS DOWN DAY FOR TEACHERS
IN PREPARATION FOR FRIDAY PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH YOU STUDENTS - (transfers and freshmen do not know what our dress code was last year!)
DRESS CODE Clothing and appearance for students will be determined by decency, cleanliness and appropriateness to the occasion as defined by the staff and administration. 1. Hats, headwear, sunglasses, scarves, headbands more than ½ inch or doo-rags are prohibited in the school building. 2. Clothing that reveals underwear or bare midriff is not acceptable. All tops must have two 1” straps and must cover undergarments. Strapless or backless tops, racer back, or tops with T-straps are not acceptable. 3. Students are permitted to wear shorts if the shorts extend to the full length of the student’s fingertips. This also applies to skirts. 4. Pants must be worn at their intended waistline. Extra large pants must be worn with a belt to keep them in place. Boxer shorts and other undergarments should not be seen. 5. No pajamas or sleepwear is allowed, except on Pajama Day during Spirit Week. 6. Top garment must meet bottom to avoid bare midriff, both standing and sitting. 7. All coats, jackets and outerwear should be kept in student’s locker during the school day.
In addition, there will be no apparel bearing print or pictures relating to guns, gambling, alcohol and/or drug usage, or language, which may be deemed profane/obscene. Mesh tank tops, undergarments as tee shirts, see through shirts, halter-tops, or backless tops and dresses exposing undergarments are not permitted. Students will not be permitted in the school building without proper footwear.
PLEASE REMIND THEM: Any student who does not adhere to the above criteria may be sent home to change into their unifrom and will not be allowed to participate in the future.
