The purpose of having a GoogleGroup is to be able to make announcements to a group of people quickly and easily as well as host discussion topics.
If you wish to join this group, click on Sign in. Once you've signed in (you may have to create an account), you can "Apply to be a Part of this Group."
Whenever I email the group, you will be sent an individual email with the information. However, having a googlegroup also allows you to see every email I have sent displayed in one place. That way, you can find previous emails you've accidentally deleted and/or you won't have to go searching through hundreds of emails to find a message I sent you weeks ago.
