This mailing list is for scientific discussion of the mRNA vaccines and their safety.

The creator of this list (William Stewart) supports vaccines, and understands they have alleviated untold human suffering. This is exactly what makes it all the more important that widespread public support of vaccines be maintained, and any potential issues with the new technology of mRNA vaccines be thoroughly investigated and properly dispositioned.

There are currently reasonable concerns about the operation of the new technology used in the Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines, related to spread to tissues beyond the injection site, and the unique ability of the lipid nanoparticles used to carry the vaccines to cross the blood brain barrier, with potentially serious long term effects.

Unfortunately, at the time this list was created, there was no known information available to the contrary. Despite requests, no information is available from the manufacturers about these concerns. A request Stewart made to Pfizer on 2021-01-27 was returned that there is no publicly available information. A request made to Moderna on 2021-01-24 has not been returned. It is possible that the proprietary nature of the lipid nanoparticles used by Pfizer and Moderna is hindering availability of relevant information.

Since there is no known platform for coordination of information about these concerns, this list was established to provide a mechanism for this coordination. It is greatly hoped that relevant research and information on these questions will emerge.

If you are a scientist or medical professional interested in contributing to the discussion, please request membership with an indication of your medical or scientific credentials.

Of course, it is essential that all communications on these questions be scientific, balanced, and civil.
