mrjob v0.6.11 is out!
The major change in this version is that if a Spark job fails, mrjob can now parse driver output and logs to determine the probable cause of failure.
The default AMI on EMR is now 5.27.0. The default instance type is still m5.xlarge for AMI 5.13.0 and later, but for earlier AMIs (which don’t support m5.xlarge), the default instance type is back to m4.large.
There are a number of small bugfixes, mostly to do with EMR and the Spark runner. For details, see:
