installation with conda and minimal working example

as mentioned in my previous question:

could someone post a clear and detailed step-by-step method to describe how to install:

with conda (not pip).

I know there is a documentation but it is minimalisitc with regards to installation

e.g. there is a setup.py file in the git, can someone give more details on where (in which folder) one should be located to run the command? i guess in the folder where the setup.* is etc. When I write an installation procedure, I give all the steps ('foolproof') e.g. cd to this dir, do this, do that... this is missing here.

Also could someone provide a minimal, simple and short script to show how to compute the image quality metric for an MRI image?
