First Steps in MRAID Ads

Hello guys, 

We have been building HTML ads for quite some time now, but we want to start building MRAID complaint creatives which should be prepared and working with MRAID ad networks. 

We are searching in two things:
a) where to download the mraid.js file which we can use in our ads (during the development stage)

b) a place (web app or native ios/android app) where we can point an url (where our ad is stored) and to test its MRAID (mostly expand) features.

We would be very thankful for help (examples)in these topics.

Martin,

There is no mraid.js file to download that I know of. This is normally integrated into the SDK but is only a facade to connect to the native layer. 

I suspect that creating a mock-object would be fairly simple, but maybe not necessary. We regularly use the web tester instead and that allows us to see how the ad reacts to the confined container.

As far as a place to point to your URL, I would give the webtester a try. The flight tab includes a field to accept a URL, but there are some caveats. Some browsers simply don't allow for cross-domain content -- but you can usually override those settings. The other option is to download the code from Google Code and run the webtester locally.

Hi Nathan, 

Thank you very much for the guidelines. We will give it a try and make a mock-object just with simple console logging. 
However do you have some simple expandable MRAID optimized creative examples which we can take a look at?

It will be very very helpful in our case.

Martin,

These are the ads that we built at Crisp and submitted to the IAB. The URLs are over a year old now, so they may be broken. If you have trouble, you should be able to use the Script Tag code directly.

Hi Nathan, 

This is exactly what we need, but unfortunately we cannot see much of it. 
Opening the script urls loads for us some minimized JS code where mraid was not found at all (I think it was this Crisp library of some sort or something). 

Is there a way you can send me (privately?) a zip of these two creatives ? What would be of extreme help.
JavaScript files only works best.  

Can you tell me if (and when) we can chat a little on Gtalk?
