What does Winston mean when he says that he loves Julia all the more
because she has had scores of sexual encounters?

Winston's whole life has been under the control and observation of Big
Brother. Actions that Julia has done go against the party and this
surprises him. He fears death, but still has desires. When Winston
finds out that Julia has been around the block so to speak, this idea
of rebellion against the party peaks his interest. All the people he
has known are good people that abide by the party's rules. After
hearing from Julia that she has been involved in various activities
against the party, he is extremely attracted to her.

Winston loves Julia more because she has been with multiple partners,
because it proves that Winston and Julia are not the only one's who
are committing a crime. There are more out there committing a crime
and they are not getting caught, yet at least. He started feeling
that he loved her, but then he discovered that she has been with other
partners and knowing this, it shows that there are people against the
"Big Brother" and all the rules and laws, and knows there is something
more than what they are told to believe. Although Winston fears death
and Julia is the opposite, she does not even care. She is more care
free and optimistic than he is, and he enjoys the knowledge that other
people out there are committing some sort of crime, and they are able
to get away with it, for the time being.

All of Winston's life he has to abide by the rules of the Big Brother
Party. Ever since Julia came into his life he has acted like a
completely new person and rebels against the authority. If he got
caught he would most likely be killed but it is worth it since he is
the happiest he has ever been since Julia is in his life.

I agree with Stuart that Winston is intrigued that Julia is such a
rebel against Big Brother. Once she said she had scores of sexual
encounters, I thought he was going to be disappointed. He seemed very
happy that she has had experience and that she knew what she was doing
since she has been rebelling all of her life. Her being such a rebel
against the leaders makes him more attracted to her than he already
was.

I agree with Stu. Winston loves Julia more because she likes rebelling
against the Party and Big Brother than because he really loves her. He
just loves her because she rebels against the Party. Winston loves
people that are corrupted and fighting against the law. As Julia has
had many different sexual partners, it means that she doesn't care
about the law as it is forbidden to have sex. And plus she said that
all of her partners were from the party and he hopes that they all got
a disease. He thinks she will like it more with him than with guys of
the Party and he is excited about it. For the first time, he found
somebody like him and that is why he is really happy and "loves" her.
He said she is the kind of person that he needs to organize a
rebellion against the Party and he is now sure that he is not the only
one and has hope of a future rebellion.

When Winstin says that he loves her more because she has had sexual
encounters with many different people he means that she has a side to
her that noone else has and she has done things that he has only been
able to dream about! I think he is also very impressed that she has
been with people from the circle. Winston has always been taught that
sex was an emotionless action and but when he is with julia he sees
that it is not all that way and that there is in fact imotion behind
it! Julia to me would almost prove to Winston in a way that there
really are other people out there like him and it brings him a sense
of closure to know that someone else has the same desires as he does
and on top of it that it really is possible to remain living even
though he has discovered thought. Julia brings happiness into his life
by showing him that she to has thoughts and feelings.

I agree with mary by her saying that she has been with several
partners it means that there are seveal other people out there that
are against big brother and his rules! It gives him a sense of hope in
a way that maybe thigs will change and they will be able to think and
have feeling once again.

What Winston means is he loves that the "party" system is
corrupted. That under all the organization the Party was actually
rotten. To Winston it showed cased that the Party was full of more
lies and it made him feel better about his thoughts. He loves Julia
all the more because she is a member of the Anti Sex League and that
she chose to save her self for the party. He loved her more because it
showed that Julia is on the same pace as Winston's is. Plus it shows
that all passion and desire is still there in the party system. That
in reality the Party system can not get rid of desire.

Winston says that he loves Julia more because she has had scores of
sexual encounters becuase he is happy that she is a rebel too. He has
been acting like a rebel since he met her but even before with the
diary he was breaking some rules. By her having sexual encounters it
makes her more attractive for him, which is because he is not the only
one breaking rules. I think he is happier with her more than ever and
he is even happier with both of them being rebels to Big Brother.

He means that it arouses him both mentally and physically that she is
such a rebel and, for her to have had all those encounters proves how
much of a rebel she really was and that she was for real. Also like
Winston said that with just one simple act they were disobeying an
entire civilization, when she rips her close off it shows him that the
rules did not mean anything to him nor did they to her and he finds
this extremely satisfying. Winston feels that this was an act of
politics, when he says that he simply means that by him sleeping with
Julia that he was defying the entire philosophy of the party, and
there idealistic view of a perfect civilization.

Winston disagrees with the system, he realizes what is happening, he
would like to change what he is living. But feel lonely, he not know
how to do it, the undisputed leader of the entire world, is afraid
that someone will account and delivers it to the Thought Police. but
Now that he know Julia, he knows that he is not the only one that
want a future rebellion. He just loves her because she rebels against
the authority of the party and she is a agil person, she sures of
herself, more care free and optimistic than he is.He said she is the
kind of person that he needs to organize a rebellion against the
Party, and he hope to started with Julia.
I think that Julia is a very important character for the development
of Winston,
what julia thought can help winston to organize a real rebellion for
tha party.

Winston means that he loves Julia because she is against the party
too.And he cant have sex because big brother is watching him and the
party doesnt let they have sex "forfun" , but Julia had sex with
Winston that why he loves her.
