Winston can still show that he is not fully true about Big Brother bue
to his dreams and crying on names in his sleep. However he can still
get caught and tortured more so than how he was tortured than before.
He wrote on the dust of a table that "2+2=5" although he still kept
thinking about an old memory of his mother and little sister, although
he is forcing himself to think it is just a fake vision in his mind.
He makes himself like Big Brother thinking that he protects him 24/7.
Although, I think that if he could and had is own mind in his control,
he would still be against the party.

Winston traces "2 + 2 = 5" in the dust.
He remembers seeing Julia on a bitter-cold day that March. She had
thickened and stiffened, and he now found the thought of sex with her
repulsive. They acknowledged that they had betrayed one another, and
agreed to meet again, though neither is truly interested in continuing
their relationship. He remembers a moment of happiness with his mother
and sister, but thinks it must be a false memory. He looks up and sees
a picture of Big Brother on the telescreen, making him feel happy and
safe. As he listens to the war news, he reassures himself of both the
great victory he has won over himself and his newfound love for Big
Brother. I agree with Mary about if he had his own mond in his control
but know he dont want to used..
what I do not understand is so after fighting so much against the
party give up they let the party controlled again even thou they
wanted liberty??
