Winston is being shot. He has finally come to the realization of his
love for Big Brother and has accepted everything and will be killed
now that his mind is cleared and he is "sane". O'Brien told him that
they never let allow anyone to leave without being fully "cured" and
Winston was finally "cured" of his insanity. In the beginning of the
1st of the last two paragraphs, Winston is coming to grasps that he
will be shot, but since he has wanted that bullet for so long, he does
not even dread his death or is scared. In the last paragraph, Winston
finally realizes his love of Oceania, O'Brien, Julia, and Big
Brother. Forty years of hatred toward the party and he finally has so
much love for them that he is satisfied with himself and therefore
O'Brien decides this is the correct time to get rid of him.

In the last two paragraphs Winston is getting shot in the head.To me
it is like a slow motion scene, where you see a people walking by a
man in a bar( that kind of scene) Winston walks out side and a bullet
enters his brain. I believe that that Winston did know that today was
his day. Like when he said you just kind of know, he knew. In the very
last paragraph he looked up at big brother and finally understood what
big brother meant. I think he started to cry because of a relief, a
sigh almost. that he finally found out why he loved big brother. Or
maybe he started to cry because he got shot in the head, I do not
know.In the end Winston had complete power over his mind though (well
big brother actually did)

Winston knew he was going to be shot soon. I do not know if he thought
that was the day he was going to get shot but he knew. In the
paragraphs Winston looks at the big brother posters and cries. I think
he finally understood his feelings and thats how he expressed
them. After hating them for so long he finally understood his true
feelings and the O'Brien decided to get rid of them.

Wintson was going to be shot on account of his feelings toward big
brother and he accepted his fate that he was going to die sometime in
the near future. And o'brien felt that this would be the proper time
to get ride of him. I think that o'brien felt like he needed to cure
winston before he kills him because then he would have his own
personal satisfaction about wintson meaning he felt like he changed
him to what the party liked.
