MQTT on ARM microcontroller

Hi All - 

I'd like to implement MQTT on a  remote device that has a small 32 bit micro controller based on ARM Cortex.

Is there a particular flavour of MQTT framework that exists that would target 'C' based programming on such small micro controllers?

Where would be the best resources to start?
