Hi Julien

Changing the message topic as it wasn't really part of the previous thread.

I'm aware of several pieces of writing and code about MQTT and Processing:

There is also Nick O'Leary's Arduino client which could work with your ATmega board.

MQTT on the Raspberry Pi is fairly straightforward, you can get the mosquitto broker from Raspbian or build from source, and use a client library and language more-or-less of choice. I don't know whether there is an RSMB build for RasPi yet.

A search for Android and MQTT should throw up a lot of results, a number of the articles and examples are linked from http://mqtt.org/wiki/doku.php/mqtt_on_the_android_platform - Eclipse Paho is well suited for this, for example.

In short, yes that combination of hardware and the Processing IDE can be wired up via MQTT.

Hello mqtt group,

i am a newbie :)

That being said i am interested in and about to begin exploring the possibility of using "processing" (www.processing.org) to work with the mqtt protocol,

ultimately to allow interaction with the atmega328 and the raspberry-pi

i have an android phone, and wish to setup a system across these systems...

would anyone be interested in working on such a system ?

i am aware of the options available regard, web sphere etc.

but i am a little wet behind the ears... please forgive me :)

kind regards,

Julien O'Brien
