Is there an MQTT broker that supports websockets "out of the box"?  mosquitto, for example, currently has websocket support disabled at compile time (at least the version I yum-installed on CentOS 7.5).

Thanks,
Jay

Hello Jay,

Try MQTTRoute which supports Websocket by default.

You can have the SSL enabled for both MQTT over TCP and WebSocket.

We support Ubuntu by default as part of the linux flavour. We can have it compiled for the CentOS as well.

Let me know if you have any questions

Thanks,
Ranjith

Hi Jay,

Nice seeing you’re interested in MQTT over Websockets.
HiveMQ offers a java based broker that natively supports websockets, as well as a websocket web client for testing purposes.
Of course the broker does run on CentOS. Hit me up if you have any questions.

Kind regards,
Florian
