Mosquitto Broker requirements

Hi, I am currently running a local Mosquitto broker on my laptop. It works perfectly with my project. Now, I need to make this broker portable with Access Point capabilities.

I have read few articles that show installation of mosquitto broker on Raspberry pi.

My Q is....is there any other device, that will be able to support MQTT broker at lower cost? My only two functionality requirements are:

1. Should be able to run MQTT broker.

2. Should be able to function as an access point.

Any inputs are appreciated.

Looks like a job for a Raspberry Pi 3B running Raspbian, hostapd & mosquitto.
