How do I decouple these two modules?

I have code for a GUI and MQTT. How do I make both of these modules decoupled because currently they rely on each other to some extent.

Hi,

Try building applications using the python based web server for User Interface and have some threads. We use a combo of C & Python for all our tools like MQTT broker & MQTT Simulator
