Dear fellow students of Peace Theater,

It looks like we're not getting together for a meeting tonight, and
that's fine – sometimes, the routine must be shaken, if anyone is to
be stirred. Next week, however, those who are interested are invited
to regather at my house, at 2137 SE Taylor St, at 6 PM, for a potluck
evening of MasterPeace Theater.

Our basic agenda will be:
-food and eating [45 minutes]
-dinner cleanup [15 minutes]
-acting games [7pm; 30 minutes]
-breakout into pairs (or more, for those groups so inclined) and
develop a skit to present to the group [7:30pm; 30 minutes]
-group presentations [8pm; 30 minutes]
-discussion [8:30pm; 30 minutes]

During discussion, those who are interested in presenting one or more
of the skits out in the world can connect with each other. We can talk
also about our public performances, explore what informed our choices
in the skits, and get suggestions for future presentations. The beauty
of this is that one or more people might come back the next week and
do the same skit someone else did the previous week, perhaps with a
new twist, and we might thus unite around a single performance – or we
might just keep exploring!

In the meanwhile, those of us who want to go out and perform can and
will do so with each other. This has the benefit of getting us out in
twos and threes, getting comfortable with each other and with public
performances, and developing our repertoire.

If anyone needs help finding their way to and/or from the meeting,
please let me know – if you're in the Portland area, I'll do what it
takes to get you here.
