We look forward to your arrival in Gujarat for the 5th National Convention of the Right to Food Campaign scheduled from 1st to 3rd March, 2014. The venue for the convention is Dalit Shakti Kendra, Village Nani Devti, Sanand Bavla Road, Sanand Block, District Ahmedabad.
Please let us know your expected date and time of arrival, if you haven’t done so. Help desks are set up at Ahmedabad Railway Station and Ahmedabad Central Bus Stand (Gita Mandir).
From Ahmedabad Railway Station /Central Bus Station to Sanand: Appx 30 kms Ahmedabad Central Bus Stand is 3 kms away from Ahmedabad Railway Station.(Kalupur). There are regular Gujarat State Transport buses in 15 minutes interval from Ahmedabad to Sanand starting from 5:00 a.m to 1:20 a.m in the early morning hours taking approximately 40 minutes. The bus fare is on average Rs. 30/-. All buses from Ahmedabad to Saurashtra via Viramgam will stop at Sanand. The list of buses is attached.
From Sanand To Nani Devti: 8kms distance. There are Rickshaws and Chakkda’s that regularly ply between Sanand Bus Depot to Nani Devti which cost Rs. 10/- per person. The auto’s drivers from Nani Devti also ply on the route have assured their support to participants..
From Ahmedabad Station (Kalupur): There are few trains from Ahmedabad Station to Sanand, which take 30 mins to 45 minutes.
