Dear Friends, 

Our efforts for advocacy for removal of the 2 child norm and restriction on age for maternity entitlements are beginning to bear fruit.  The Ministry of Health and Family welfare has issued a new circular ( attached herewith) removing these conditionalities from JSY-NMBS scheme for all states.  

We now have to intensive our efforts with WCD since these conditionalities continue to prevail in IGMSY which is likely to be expanded as the universal maternity benefit under the NFSB. 

Do circulate widely and also please monitor that these conditionalities have been removed by the state govts as well as in practice on the ground.
