So, getting a check from plow company. At least that was easy.
You are ??? SWEET!
Did they contact you??

How much can we get for our existing brake set? Not sure - but would guess about $1400+

Selling rotors as well or keeping? Would need to sell them with kit.

If we sell rotors, I like the spiral grooved ones. Just aesthetic but you decide.  I'm down with that!

Other than differential, any way to eek out a bit more torque on road?  Lots of ways but none for free.  Real noticeable torque would require some real changes though.

How bout? VF ENGINEERINGS Stage 2 Boost Increase to 8.0-8.5 PSI, OEM spring tensioner upgrade, Stage 2/3 Bosch fuel injectors, Hitachi MAF conversion, with custom GIAC Software flash. [$250 discount when stage 1 injectors returned]. Requires sport Cats downstream from header. [released Feb 08]
570 HP (+50hp from where you are) and 380 Nm (+30 from where you are now)   $3k minus our discount of $300 ish.

I was also thinking about changing colors on the brakes to something less common than red. Maybe a bright cobalt or azul blue or yellow? Your call - no biggy to me - but i would choose red. The stoptech choices can be seen at their website.

I can send a check as soon as we firm up plan. Also need time frame. Looks like one weekend and weekday spread oughtta do it. Remember, I will be the bitch that polished those wheels but need to coordinate. Laser install may be tougher than you tink by the way.  Why do you think?

Do you want the extra $100 from plow company?  It would get back to you anyway, sort of.  Cheers big ears!

I contacted them and carla claims check in mail. I told her my attorney recommend we try to settle easy. he he.
OK, 1400 for existing brakes. Nice.
Lets go for the stop tech set. Let me check colors.
Spiral groove, yes.
I guess for power, what I am really seeking is the low rpm power before the 4k-6k burst. Sort of get it a bit with the sport setting which seems to increase sensitivity of accelerator. but that seems like cheating.
The vf thing may be a bit too pricey for $$/hp ratio.

My wife suggested silver calipers. That would be interesting. Actually may fit the look of the car. Dark, stealth, deadly.

Option for more power Horse Power freaks turbo...

Recognizing your dilemma for more power is insatiable... it's hard for me to believe you just want a 'little more"

I made an error on the hp improvement.. goes up 90hp for $2700... That's actually not too bad for hp/dollar.
Compare to original purchase of 150 hp for $9k.

Curious why you're not 'in' to the differential idea... did you talk with someone about this upgrade?

No reason. Just more $$$$. Gotta stop at some point. Once we get that hot on the inside, then the outside will have to match. There are many little imperfections on the outside. Cant handle thinking about a whole repaint job. My thirst for power is only on the low end. I just want to get to 0-80 in under 4 seconds. if possible. he he
Lets keep with what we have. What do you tink about silver calipers??? may be rather cool. If not then red. Not into paying an extra 400 for color.
Can you increasea the boost on the SC to get more power without killing the engine??
OK, no more potification. Lets get started. Need a time frame. Would like to have everything ready and on hand so there is little "no drive" time. he hehe

I love that car.

I don't' think a whole repaint is necessary. Certainly we can investigate trying to get all the little imperfections taken care of... but it is a driver car... not a trailer queen.
You can get from 0-80 in under 4 in a motorcycle....  a really fast one. HA!
Silver calipers could be nice, I think they may get lost behind the chrome wheel.. but that may look alright. Your call - your dollar :)  If it were mine I'd keep the red... but it's obvious your tastes are a bit different than mine!

About increased boost.. that would be what the Stage 2 kit from VF would be doing. + 3 psi boost...and it's tuned to be safe.

I would like to order everything right away... so money to me is step #1.  When to send check? Need check and definitive decision on brakes.
